How to Apply
Eligibility
- The first year of training is approved for two students and fulfills the
requirements for the Specialist in Blood Bank Technology (SBB) Program.
- The second year (which is optional) is approved for four students and leads to a
Master of Science degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences (as part of the
Immunohematology track).
- The program is accredited by AABB in cooperation with the Commission on
Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs
(CAAHEP) and
applications for admissions may be obtain at
www.aabb.org.
- A Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in clinical
laboratory science (medical technology), biology, chemistry or other related
discipline.
- Currently certified by a recognized medical laboratory science certification
agency (ASCP or NCA).
- A minimum of one year post-baccalaureate full time work experience in
Immunohematology.
- Three letters of recommendation from persons in a position who knows the
applicants ability to pursue graduate level work.
- A successful interview with the program faculty.
- Complete required application paper work to determine the applicants readiness
to complete the program.
